WHEN THE WORLD SAYS, “NO WAY”… GOD ISN’T FINISHED.

There are moments in life when the voices around us all seem to agree:

“No way.”

• The diagnosis is too serious.

• The marriage is too broken.

• The finances are too far gone.

• The prodigal has wandered too long.

• The ministry is too weak.

• The dream has died.

Perhaps you have heard those words yourself. Perhaps you are hearing them today.

In the late 1970s, I found myself standing in one of those moments.

After waiting nine long years, God blessed us with the miracle of a pregnancy. Then came the devastating news: cancer had entered the picture.

Suddenly every joyful expectation was overshadowed by fear.

With each passing month, the condition worsened. The medical reports grew increasingly discouraging. There were no optimistic predictions. Yet through it all, there was one unwavering decision: to do everything possible to protect the life growing within.

Pain became a constant companion. Yet hope was not surrendered.

And in God’s perfect timing, a healthy, beautiful baby boy was born… without spot or blemish. A pregnancy that many feared would end in tragedy became a testimony of God’s faithfulness.

• The cancer was real.

• The danger was real.

• The tears were real.

• But so was our God.

During those difficult days, Psalm 27 became an anchor for the soul:

“I would have despaired unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living” (Ps 27:13)

Notice what David does not say. He does not deny the darkness. He simply refuses to believe that darkness gets the final word.

Friend, I don’t know what “no way” has been spoken over your life. But I do know this:

• When everyone else sees a dead end, God still sees a pathway.

• When others count the possibilities, God demonstrates His power.

• When hope seems buried beneath the shadows, God is already preparing the dawn.

Our God still parts seas.

He still opens prison doors.

He still raises what others have declared dead.

And He still specializes in writing stories that begin with “NO WAY…” and end with “ONLY GOD.”

So don’t surrender your faith simply because you cannot yet see His hand. The God who made a way for us is the same God who is able to make a way for you.

“Wait for the LORD; be strong, and let your heart take courage; yes, wait for the LORD” (Ps 27:14)
